Mississauga question
I have a friend staying over in Mississauga on a business trip, and it looks like on Wednesday he'll be stuck with not much to do. He's hit downtown Toronto already, and no longer has access to a car. Does anyone who reads my LJ know of interesting places he could go to in Mississauga by taxi? He likes comic shops, well-stocked computer stores, vegetarian food, and Asian markets with bizarre merchandise. The hotel he's staying at is at 100 Traders.

Dunno about the other stuff, but here's some vegetarian food suggestions.

Maybe ping D'Otter by email for suggestions? It's not my area.

About three blocks west of his hotel is Hurontario, Descending Artery of Mississauga. If he goes south along Hurontario to Eglington, then west along Eglington to Mavis, he will find at the southeast corner of Mavis and Eglington the Mississauga branch of <a href="http://www.canadacomputers.com>Canada Computers</A>, a fairly well-stocked retail computer store. There's a nice comic book store in Etobicoke, 'Excaliburs Comics', NW corner of Bloor and Royal York just past the cinema. Two levels of comic, collectable and gaming goodness. Further east along Bloor in that neck of the woods is a Green Mango, which serves a lot of veggie fare. As for Asian markets.. in mississauga?! Well.. ok. ;) There's one on Dixie south of Eglington, east side. If he likes the 'Pacific Mall' design, he'll recognize it from the outside. I'll try to grab the street address in passing.

Well, God knows I'm dying of suspense. Is there something good at that intersection?

Aha, luckily my e-mail copy saved the full version of his message:
