Over the Hedge - Which is not unduly obvious, as I am about to explain

Over the Hedge
Definitely go see Over the Hedge! Very fun film, with jokes to entertain all ages. And stay through to the end of the credits.

I have my minor quibbles, but these are so minor and trivial I do not want to mention them - because (1) this would detract from my enthusiasm to convince you to go see the film, and (2) I complain too much.

Very interesting set of trailers too - a bunch of films I had no idea were coming out. "Flushed Away", which seems to be a sort of country mouse/city mouse derivation, in which a rich mouse who lives a life of decadence, pleasure and ease ends up in the world of sewer rats under the city, thanks to an obnoxious uncultured street-wise rat that he meets. What's interesting is that this film looks CGI, but Aardman Animation has retained its character designs of plasticene-shaped origins. As they get into CGI I wonder if they'll explore other design models.

Another CGI film is "Monster House", in which some neighbourhood kids find out a nearby house is a horrific, posessed entity that devours any hapless soul that passes by. Looks like it could be fun! No idea when it's coming out though.

I think I read/saw that FA is more of a Dreamworks film - that Aardman proper is remaining with plasticine - but I could be mistaken.

Of course, while I'll see FA, it's Ratatouille I'm really waiting for.. I'd been looking forward to it anyway, but now hearing that Brad Bird's taking over as director.. ! Well, now. Things could be worse. =:)

What's Ratatouille?

Btw, I'm interested in that tracker if the offer's still open. I tried replying to your e-mail a couple of days ago using my ISP's web e-mail client, but never having done so before I'm not sure it worked.

Over The Hedge looks FUN!!!
I wanna see it!

Flushed Away is in CGI because water is so hard to do in stop-motion.
Or so I've heard.
Think of it as Chicken Run type film.
