'Cause you've got four arms... (The better to hold you) - Which is not unduly obvious, as I am about to explain

'Cause you've got four arms... (The better to hold you)
Damn it, in the new Spiderman movie, Doc Oc does look like me. The righteous indignancy I was looking forward to has been ruined!

Here's a repost of a discussion I had in entropicana's journal. What if I was an evil librarian?

Why, I'd say things like this.

And then things like this would happen:

So, back to packing. I'll be away at a family reunion
until Monday night. (The reunion is Saturday; most of the
rest of the time is travelling by plane, car, or subway.)

Current Mood: cynical cynical

I still promise not to call you Doc Oc. ;)

And you are a great man for admitting the resemblence exists.

I shall endeavor to be free on a night when you're visiting.

Yay! That's tonight. (Wednesday) Thursday night's out, because I need to get to bed early to leave town in the wee hours of the morning on Friday. Alternatively, how is Sunday night for you? Thing is, I don't know what time I'll be back in town that day. However long it takes to drive from Cleveland to Toronto, plus 90 minutes including a stopover here and there. I'll try to get an estimate from my family.

No no!

I'm already pencilled in as "The Bond Villain" who is always a mad scientist of some kind. :)

Good point...

Ok. We need to destroy the world. But for a wonky, yet strangely logical reason.

You handle the details. :)

Ok. We need to destroy the world. But for a wonky, yet strangely logical reason.

We'll run out of easily-mined uranium in another century or so. We should build a giant death ray to blast the earth's crust to magma to bring more to the surface so we can keep fuelling our reactors.

You're welcome =^.^=.

[And if you mention breeding from thorium, I'll just find a way to use up the reserves more quickly };>.]

I like it - but wouldn't a solar-powered, diamond-laser super-drill be more appropriate? :) Punch a bunch of holes into the earth until we get all the magma we need and totally weaken the crust at the same time!

What can I say? I'm not good at that whole "subtlety" thing =^.^=.

[grins] This is why I'm The Bond Villain. :)

[pets his cat's head]

Muahahaha... :)

Geez, I can imagine going off to the moon or something, leaving you three in charge for a couple of days, and finding a floating mass of asteroids when I got back.

I had to perform the most astonishing gyrations to listen to that sample because I'm using my DVD player in lieu of a sound card.

I guess your nemesis would be using the Library of Congress system...

It makes perfect sense. With four AI-driven robotic arms grafted to your spine, you could shelve books 300% faster than you currently do!

Or shelve books 200% faster, type a bioepic of the descendants of Piltdown Man and throttle some poor schmuck with overdue fines all at the same time. ;D
