ALL WRONG - Which is not unduly obvious, as I am about to explain

ALL WRONG
When I was in elementary school in the late 1970s, I never encountered The Letter People, but I did occasionally catch TV episodes of them on PBS, which failed to impress me. Nonetheless, they do strike a nostalgic chord with some people. There was even a vinyl album produced called "Songs of the Letter People". And on the rare occasion, I've found recordings from it.

For example, the main part of the Mr. X track is fairly dull. But the beginning... the first 26 seconds... it sounds like a scene out of a bad 1970s science-fiction movie where a sentient computer traps the heroes somewhere in its inner complex and renders them unconscious using psychedelic audio-visual bombardment. Listen.

The repeated dischordant buzzing in between verses is pretty unsettling, too.
